If so it is fairly lame and basically of a waste of money. Its surely not value it to move to NYC to research there. These ‘Art Institute’ universities are for-profit businesses, they are not truly academic establishments. There are some good art colleges that have ‘Art Institute’ in the name like SAIC (College of the Art Institute of Chicago), they are unrelated to the AI chain of colleges although.
If you want a good art education check out SAIC or one of the ‘real’ art educational institutions in NYC- Pratt, Parsons, In shape, or one more good art college elsewhere in the nation. People are value the funds if you want to be an artist IMO.
